Alert Channels

Alert Channels define where SpoofWard sends notifications when alerts are triggered. Configure one or more channels to stay informed about DNS changes, threat events, and security issues.

Supported Channels

  • Email — Send alerts to one or more email addresses
  • Slack — Post alerts to a Slack channel via webhook
  • Microsoft Teams — Post alerts to a Teams channel via webhook
  • Discord — Post alerts to a Discord channel via webhook

Setting Up a Channel

  1. Navigate to Settings → Alert Channels
  2. Click Add Channel
  3. Choose the channel type
  4. Enter the configuration:
    • Email: Enter the recipient email address
    • Slack/Teams/Discord: Paste the incoming webhook URL from your chat platform
  5. Click Test to verify the connection works
  6. Click Save

Managing Channels

  • Enable/Disable — Temporarily mute a channel without deleting it
  • Test — Send a test notification to verify it's working
  • Delete — Remove a channel permanently
Tip

Set up at least two channels (e.g., email + Slack) for redundancy. If one channel fails, you'll still receive alerts through the other.
