DNS Alerts

DNS Alerts monitors your domain's DNS records and notifies you when critical changes or issues are detected. Stay on top of unexpected modifications, misconfigurations, and security threats in real time.

Viewing Alerts

Navigate to Workspace → DNS Alerts in the sidebar. Alerts are sorted by severity and recency.

Severity Levels

  • High — Critical issues that could break email delivery or expose you to spoofing (e.g., DMARC record deleted, SPF syntax error)
  • Medium — Configuration warnings that should be addressed soon (e.g., DKIM key nearing expiration)
  • Low — Informational changes that don't require immediate action (e.g., MX record updated)

Alert Details

Click any alert to see:

  • The specific DNS record that triggered the alert
  • What changed (previous value vs. current value)
  • When the change was first detected and last seen
  • Recommended action to resolve the issue

Acknowledging Alerts

Once you've reviewed and addressed an alert, click Acknowledge to dismiss it. Acknowledged alerts are hidden from the default view but remain in the history for audit purposes.

Alert Badge

The sidebar shows a red badge with the count of unacknowledged high-severity alerts from the last 7 days. This gives you an at-a-glance indicator of urgent issues.

Configuring Alert Notifications

To receive alerts outside the dashboard, configure Alert Channels under Settings. You can send alerts to email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Discord.

Tip

Set up alert thresholds in Domain Monitoring to control when alerts fire — for example, only alert if your DNS health score drops by more than 10 points.
